Floor Restoration Services for Schools

Sports hall, assembly hall and classroom floor restoration for schools in Enfield, completed during the holidays.

Wooden floors for schools

From sports halls to Victorian classrooms, school floors see constant heavy use. Worn lacquer, faded lines and loose blocks are not just unsightly - they can become a safety issue. We restore school floors across Enfield so they are safe, smart and ready for the new term.

Our school services

  • Full sanding and refinishing of sports halls, assembly halls and classrooms

  • Hardwearing sports lacquer with suitable slip resistance

  • Court markings painted between coats and sealed under the final lacquer

  • Replacing damaged blocks and boards before sanding

Working in the holidays

We schedule work during half-terms, Easter and summer holidays so lessons are never disrupted. We agree a clear programme with the school business manager or site team, including curing times, so the floor is ready for the first day back. Smaller jobs, such as a single classroom, can sometimes be done over a long weekend.

Safety, RAMS and insurance

Before we start, we supply risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), product data sheets and a copy of our £5m public liability insurance. Our team follows your safeguarding and site procedures at all times.

Why schools choose to restore

Original school floors are often high-quality hardwood that simply cannot be bought at the same price today. A restoration is far cheaper than a replacement and much quicker to complete. It also keeps waste out of landfill, which matters to schools with sustainability targets. We provide a clear, fixed quote that fits school budgeting and procurement processes.

Between restorations

A simple maintenance plan keeps a school floor in good condition for years. Entrance matting, the right cleaning products and a light re-coat every year or two can double the time between full sands. Your site team receives written cleaning and care guidance.

FAQ

Questions about floor restoration services for schools

All questions
Do you provide risk assessments and method statements?

We provide risk assessments, method statements and insurance details before work begins. We are used to working in schools, churches and offices with site inductions and access rules.

Can you work during school holidays?

Yes — we plan school and public projects around term dates, events and opening hours. Most halls are finished in a few days, so the space is back in use quickly.

Do you do court lines on hall floors?

Yes. After sanding we apply a slip-resistant sports lacquer and can repaint court markings to your layout between coats so they are sealed in. Read more about our school floor restoration.

Can I stay at home during the work?

No. We work room by room, and most customers stay at home throughout. Our water-based lacquers and low-VOC oils have very little odour, and we plan the order of rooms around you.

Do you carry insurance?

Yes, we carry £5m public liability insurance. Certificates are available on request, which facilities managers and landlords often need before work starts.

How many days does a typical job take?

Most single rooms are sanded and finished in one to two days. Larger areas, repairs or extra coats add time, and we confirm the timeline with your fixed quote.
