Victorian Floorboards Restoration

The owners had lifted an old carpet to find the original Victorian pine boards underneath, complete with painted borders, carpet gripper holes and several damaged boards.

We replaced the damaged boards with matched reclaimed pine, secured loose boards and punched in protruding nails. Dust-free sanding took the floor back to clean timber, with the edges and corners detailed by hand.

Pine slivers closed the larger gaps, and two coats of natural hardwax oil gave a soft, hard-wearing finish. The room was back in use within two days.
